new work.

My latest piece that i completed some months ago but wanted to photograph after it was "living" in the space for a time. This was an expressionist piece for Nicole + John and their new dwelling place. 

It is quite larger than i anticipated- almost five feet by six foot. The intriguing part of this piece is the process and materials used- not captured easily by a camera. It was done with melted taper candles, layer upon layer of dried paint mixed with modeling paste. The paint was administered with only wooden stirring sticks. I do love it- i pray they do too.
